Big Girl Bed!!!

So in preparation for Baby Girl #3, we started getting Miss Sophie used to a big girl bed! She was so excited! While in some of these pictures it looks like she really wanted Grace there, most of the time she would scream, "No Gi-Gi! My bed!!!" when Grace would climb on her bed! She did really good the first night. Only got out a few times at first and then when to sleep. Now she just manipulates the heck out of us (yes, we are aware) and makes a hundred excuses to get out of bed before going down for the night. Has to give dad or mom another kiss, Grace about 5 kisses, get a tissue ("icky nose"), throw some clothes in the laundry, take someting back to Grace's room, and the list goes on!

In a couple months, Sophie will move into Grace's room and they will be sharing! Should be "intersting!"

Fun with Food!

That same weekend we went home, we ventured out with all the kids to celebrate birthdays. We went to one of those Hibachi restaurants and the kids were amazed ... and a little terrified! It was hilarious to see the looks on their faces (that is My Mom and my Uncle Billy sitting next to Grace) ... and to see Sophie using chopsticks!

Fun with the Great-Grandparents!

Grace with Great-Grandma Heck. We went back to Omaha for the weekend and got to visit with lots of family!
The girls with Great-Grandma and Grandpa Copeland! Snapping Great-Grandpa's suspenders!!!

Loving Grandma and Eachother!

My girls are total Grandma's girls! Some days Sophie won't even come to me if Grandma Sandy is around! And she asks about Grandma Patty's house all the time! "Me go to Ma-Ma Patty house? Grace has a blast with them, too! But she is just more into Grace these days! And Grace and Sophie, in between fighting over babies and purses, are pretty cute and loving!
Sophie actually started the Pull-up Indian attire! She is seriously a total ham! Just started sliding them on everywhere and dancing around. The Grace joined in!

Catching up

So I thought I was going to be able to update this at least once a month. I was so wrong. But at least I have the excuse of the busy holidays to fall back on. And the fact that Baby Clink #3 has not been kind to me. Everyone keeps telling me it is a boy because I feel so horrible ... but something tells me it's a girl! Either way, we can't wait! So here is an effort to catch you up on our busy little girls! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Celebrating Christmas!

And so starts the many Christmas celebrations with our families! We started at Grandma Patty's house the weekend before Christmas.

Waiting patiently for presents! Colby got Thomas the Train underwear. They all wanted to try them on! And Grandma got them all M&M shirts! And then off to Great Grandma and Grandpa Copeland's later that day ... this is the kids getting ready to slide down the stairs ... which they did all night! We used to get in so much trouble from Grandma when we were little for this ... yet Grandpa always encouraged us! Grandma must be getting soft in her old age! Love you guys!

Grace and Great Grandma Copeland. Sophie snapping Great Grandpa Copeland's suspenders!
Then off to my dad's house the next morning ... Grandpa Andy and Grandma Paula. The girls with Lilly, their cousin, Jarod's adorable little girl!
Grace got a sleeping bag with a horse pillow ... so cute! She really wanted to play with it but all the excitement wore out Grandpa Andy! And then ... Christmas Eve lunch at Jay's aunt and uncle's ... I have pics of that, too but thought you might be getting bored with all the Christmas pics at this point. But just a few more, I promise ... that evening at Jay's parents! Matching babies ... cute! And then comes the look of disappointment when there are no more presents with Grace's name ...
... so she decides to help Sophie open hers as she gave up after about present number two ... just wanted to eat and drink her milk!

Then church, then home to sprinkle the reindeer food in the yard and set out cookies and milk for Santa! Sophie is mad because Grace took a bit of Santa's cookie ... or was it because she didn't get a bite first???
Then we got up early Christmas morning to see if Santa came ... of course he did ... although I must admit there were moments when I didn't think he would stop at our house!

They had a great time. And yes, Sophie is sitting in her present. I hope that means she likes it!
Then later that morning we were off to Great Grandma and Grandpa Nissly's. Again, I have pictures but I am exhausted at this point. While we love spending time with our families, writing about it all over again has tuckered me out! I hope you all had as wonderful holidays as we did. Happy Holidays and we love you all!

Just Fun!

They really do love each other!
Grace got a DC-G cheerleading outfit from the wonderful lady who watches the girls during the day, Tracie! She LOVES it!

Modeling their new coats and hats from Grandma Patty! So chic! Rock On! Grace is totally into music and dancing. Pretty sure she is going to be a choreographer some day! Well Grace has gymnastics every Tuesday and Sophie wants nothing more than to be like her big sister. This is Miss Sophie in her leotard! Seriously, the girl makes us laugh every moment of the day. She is such a sweetheart and a total goof!

Celebrating Sophia's 2nd Birthday!

This weekend we had a wonderful party to celebrate Sophia's 2nd Birthday! Thank you so much to all our family and friends who helped us celebrate! We had family come in from Omaha and Brett and Tracy, Sophie's godparents, even came all the way from WI with their adorable kids, Carter and Logan! And of course all the "local" family and friends! We love you all!

Sophie had a good time ... I think. She was a bit overwhelmed and spent much of the day on my hip. When someone stopped to talk to her she just buried her face in my shoulder! But she warmed up when it was time to open presents!

Thank you to everyone!

Sophia's 2nd Birthday!!!

Jay and I took the day off to celebrate Sophie's 2nd birthday with the girls! Sophie got to open her presents from Jay, Grace and I first thing in the morning! And Grace "helped" (aka opened them herself)!
She got a dollhouse! And Grace bought her the nursery to go with it! She loves it!!!
Then Grandma Patty, Colby, and Great Grandma and Grandpa Copeland came down for the morning! We went to Jumpin' Jacks ... the kids had so much fun bouncing around! Then had a nice lunch ... and naps of course after all the jumpin'!

Adding to the fun ... Grandpa Andy joined the celebration on Saturday! How cute reading to the grandkids after baths! Colby wouldn't sit still of course! I would have taken a picture with Grandam Patty but she gets mad at me when I take pictures of her!
Then the dance marathon begins! I will say that these "moves" are pretty clean. Grace had some moves that, well, worried us a bit! You should have seen the look on my parents' faces! I serioulsy have no idea where they get some of this stuff! Anyone else have this problem?

Happy Halloween!!!

The girls had a blast trick-or-treating this year! Sophie was a bit slow because she had to stop about every other lawn to eat another piece of candy! And Grace was fast as could be because she just wanted to get more! Grace was a cowgirl and Sophie was a clown! Notice the sass! And a pic of the "girls" of course! If I did not include them, Grace would say "that is not fair that Grayson and Shea aren't on here, too!"
