Dance Class

Grace took dance with Grayson and Shea last Fall through this Spring. They did tap and ballet! I think she liked it, mostly because she was with her friends. This year we opted for gymnastics which she loves! I think she needed something where she could literally bounce off the walls!

Preschool

Wow! Grace started preschool this August at Brighter Beginnings here in Grimes. I seriously cannot believe how fast the time goes! She is doing great! She is so, so smart! And it is much easier for her because she has her friend Shea there with her!

Summer Fun

Thought I would back track a bit and give you an idea of what the girls were up to this summer ...

Grace had swimming lessons in July. She was actually a little hesitant! She is fine in the water until you ask her to put her head under ... she really hates that! But she is getting better. We go up to the indoor pool up a the hotel every now and then and she gets her hair a little more wet each time. Baby steps!

Finger painting ... on themselves ... brings new meaning to "self portrait."

Grace also played tee-ball this summer with her BFFs, Shea and Grayson! And Daddy helped coach! She loved it! And I tell you what, she has quite the swing ... and is a switch hitter. Daddy has very high hopes!

Grace got a water slide for her 4th birthday from Grandma Patty, Grandpa Andy and Grandma Paula! We had so much fun this summer!

Joining the Blogging Fun!

So the Clinkinbeards have decided to join the blogging fun! Mostly to keep everyone up to date on our gorgeous girls! It might take us a while to get started as we tend to be quite busy these days and ... well, Jay is one of the most technically challenged people I know so I am sure he will be no help here! Love you, honey!

We will try to keep this blog as up to date as we can but can't promise anything! Can't wait to share our lives with you!!!

Just like her sister!

Sophie, much like Grace, is multifaceted. Right now she is very much into her babies and dollhouse. She takes such good care of her babies! Puts them on her shoulder and bounces up and down saying "shh, shh." So cute! She is also quite the fashionista! Has to pick out her own clothes and loves to play dress up!

And then next mintute she is out playing with the frogs! I love that my girls are not afraid of anything! But most of all Sophie just wants to play with Grace and the big girls! She follows them around until I usually step in and make them include her. Then they all get along pretty well!

Marriage?

I really think it might be a possibility! This is Grace and her friend Ty Walker. They have a lot in common ... both love the Hawks, love to frog hunt, love to wrestle (although that scares the crap out of me - so dangerous)! Grace is very much a girly girl when she is with her best friends Shea and Grayson ... but when she is with Ty she is a total tomboy! I think she is in love!
This is Grace and one of her BFFs, Shea ... who happens to be Ty's little sister.

Pumpkin Patch

Okay, the pumkin patch was really Earl May ... it was way too windy and wet to do the real thing! I know, should have sucked it up for the kids but I think they still had fun!

So funny story ... There was a cat there that was sitting on one of the shelves where the small pumpkins, gourds and corn were. One of the employees was talking to Sophie and I while restocking the Indian corn when Sophie started freaking out. The man had dumped a whole box of Indian corn where the cat had been sitting. Sophie started screaming and pointing ... she evidently thought he buried the cat alive! We we laughing hysterically of course but the nice man felt so bad!
And then the carving ... which I hate BTW! It is actually hard work and, well, the kids don't seem to really care that much about it yet. They just want the costumes and candy. But I feel it is my duty as a mother to expose them to all the traditions and "fun" of Halloween.
Enjoying all the hard work! They had so much fun running around in the dark!

The mullet is back!!!

So I just thought I would share some of the recent pictures of my babies. They seriously crack us up! These are a few pics to get us all in the Halloween spirit! And what better to do that than a mullet ... a tutu and a mullet! My girls are known for their great sense of style!
