Katherine Paige!!!

We are all so excited to finally meet our newest beauty, Katherine! Katherine Paige was born July 14th weighing 6 pounds, 9 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. She is the most wonderful, beautiful baby and I am totally in love! As are Daddy and her sisters! Well, Grace definitely is ... Sophie does most of the time although she gets bored with her pretty quick! Grace is such a little mother. She wants to hold and snuggle Kate (yes, we will call her Kate or Katie) all day long. Even asks if she can hold her before she goes outside, which is just unheard of in this house considering we pretty much live outside!
So backing up, my due date was July 22nd. We had an induction set for July 15th at 8:00 pm. However, Miss Kate wanted to join the fun early! I started having pretty regular and painful contractions Monday (the 13th) afternoon. My contractions got to be about 6 minutes apart but I had promised the girls we could go get ice cream. So as promised, we went. I stayed in the car moaning in pain. You know I don't feel good when I pass up ice cream! After we got home, we headed straight to the hospital. I was dilated to 5 when we got there. To 8 after a couple hours, then I stalled out. With the help of Pitocin, little Kate entered the world at 3:34 am. She literally, did not make a peep! No crying at all for two days, not when she was born, not when she had shots, not when she had her bath! It was actually kind of scary! I didn't get to see her for three hours cause I had a little bleeding problem so I was pretty much out of my mind! I wanted her so bad! Once I was stabilized, I made up for the lost time ... pretty much haven't put her down except to update this blog! She was 6 pounds, 2 ounces on Thursday morning when we left the hospital and on Saturday had already gained 6 ounces ... so she is doing great!!! She is a great baby, very calm tempered, which is a nice change compared to the recent attitudes of her older sisters! We love her so much!!!

AT THE HOSPITAL!
COMING HOME! LOVING MY HOME!

Getting Close!

So for all you you who didn't get the pleasure of seeing my belly grow and grow ... and grow ... with this beautiful little girl, here is a recap:

Funtastic Days!!!

Every June, Grimes has a celebration called Funtastic Days. The girls really enjoy it. We take them to the parade and of course, the carnival. They really have no fear! I am so thankful they are too small for some of the rides ... cause they wanted to go on them all!

All About Sophie!

It may seem like we don't have as many pictures of Sophie, but that really is not the case. She is just not involved in any activities yet. But she will start gymnastics this fall so watch out!!!
Sophie's pictures tend to be very amusing! The girl is absolutely hilarious!!! She makes us laugh all the time! This is one of her classic looks! She really doesn't care for clothes much ... but she is great at accessorizing!

Grace's Last Soccer Game of the Season

For the most part, I think Grace liked soccer. She wasn't very excited about practices but really seemed to enjoy herself during games. By the end of the season, she and her teammates, improved immensely! In fact, Grace scored 3 goals her last game! And boy was she proud of herself! It was great!
I really think Jay had a good time coaching! He is going to coach again this fall so it couldn't have been too bad! After the game, the coaches presented the kids with medals! They were so cool! Joe had ordered them from a local trophy store ... each medal even had the child's name on it! They loved them!

Grace's 5th Birthday!!!

I can't believe Grace is 5! She is growing up so fast! She was very excited to turn 5. I think it feels very grown up to her! She has been talking a lot about going to Kindergarten. She is typically very excited but sometimes just shrugs her shoulders. The shrugging of the shoulders and "whatever" seem to dominate the attitude lately.

These are from the actual day of her birthday. Grace was very excited to take treats to daycare ... and Sophie was excited to help! I pick them up early that day and brought Grace flowers. I thought she would like getting them in front of her friends ... she loved it!
Aren't they gorgeous in their heels!!! Grace got to pick where we ate dinner and what we did that night to celebrate her birthday. She made mommy so proud when she said she wanted to go to the mall! Brings tears to my eyes! So we ate at the mall, shopped a bit and, most importantly, played at Play Land! Then cake and presents, of course!

FRIENDS PARTY!!!
For the party with her friends, was had a Luau! We had water activities, a water balloon fight, pinata and yummy food! It was really fun and I think the kids enjoyed themselves! We had cute grass skirts for the girls, but they didn't want to wear them!

Best Friends! Grace, Shea and Grayson

FAMILY PARTY!!!
Continuing the tropical theme, we celebrated Grace's 5th birthday with our wonderful family! Grace picked out her cake ... she like that flip flops that were magnets!
She got a lot of wonderful gifts. She and Sophie both got some tools and it "cracks" me up that Grace was in full character later that day when playing with them!
